Product Design Intern
Summer 2020
In 2020 I joined Facebook as a product design intern, working with the incredibly talented people on the Stories team. As an avid photographer, designing for Stories was a dream come true.

Annual Hackathon
Near the end of my internship, I teamed up with a handful of FB employees to compete in Facebook’s annual hackathon. Our team won two major awards:
• 1st Place—Remote Presence
• 1st Place—Quality of Work
We won 2 awards for our Facebook hackathon project.
Takeaways
Shipping products within a large organization can feel slow and bureaucratic. I learned to use collaboration, clear communication, and persuasion to get things done. Facebook’s rigorous design process impressed upon me the importance of focus and craft, which are core to my work today.
